Oman to offer visa-free entry to Filipino tourists in 2026
Oman is planning to grant Filipino nationals visa-free entry for up to two weeks from 2026, a move expected to boost tourism and strengthen bilateral ties, the Omani Ambassador to Manila said.
Philippines expands its e-Visa system for European nationals
The Philippines has extended its electronic visa (e-Visa) platform to citizens of some European countries (like France, Austria, Greece, and the Netherlands), allowing them to apply online for a longer stay (up to 59 days). This streamlines entry procedures for eligible visitors.

6-Month Passport Validity Rule (STRICTLY ENFORCED)
For international travel, passengers must hold a passport that is valid for at least six (6) months beyond their intended date of return. This rule is strictly enforced by airlines and immigration authorities worldwide.
Travelers whose passports have less than six months validity may be denied boarding by the airline or refused entry upon arrival, even if they already have a valid visa, confirmed ticket, or complete travel documents. Airlines are legally responsible for transporting inadmissible passengers, which is why passport validity is checked before departure.
To avoid travel disruptions, passengers are strongly advised to renew their passports early and ensure sufficient validity well before booking or traveling internationally.
